The sequence is predictable, and at every stage before termination it is recoverable.

STAGE 1 - OVERDUE

The due date passes. The service continues running. Reminder emails are sent and a late fee may apply where our terms provide for one.

STAGE 2 - SUSPENSION

After the grace period, the service is suspended. The website stops loading, email stops being delivered, and visitors see a suspension page. Your files, databases and mailboxes are untouched.

Pay the outstanding invoice and the service reactivates, usually automatically within minutes.

STAGE 3 - TERMINATION

After an extended period, the account is terminated and the data is deleted. This is not recoverable. A new account can be created, but your previous content is gone.

DOMAINS ARE DIFFERENT

A domain does not suspend; it expires. It stops resolving, then enters a redemption period where recovery carries a substantial fee, then it is released for anyone to register.

IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING

Open a ticket before the due date, not after suspension. We can often arrange something. What we cannot do is undo a termination, or recover a domain someone else has registered.
