Scheduled Maintenance and How We Notify You Print

Servers need occasional maintenance: security patches, kernel updates, control panel upgrades and hardware work.

HOW WE HANDLE IT

Routine security patching is applied continuously with no visible interruption. Work requiring a reboot or a brief interruption is scheduled for low-traffic hours where possible. Planned maintenance is announced in advance through the Client Area announcements and, for significant work, by email. Emergency maintenance, such as an urgent security patch, may happen with little or no notice. We will tell you afterwards what was done and why.

WHERE TO CHECK

Client Area > Announcements, and the Network Issues section, list current and planned work. Check there first if you notice a brief interruption.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Most maintenance causes either no downtime or a reboot lasting a few minutes. Longer work is announced with an expected window.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Keep your Client Area email address current so notices reach you. Avoid scheduling a major launch during an announced maintenance window. If you run something time-sensitive such as a sale or a webinar, tell us in advance and we will avoid scheduling optional work around it.
