A 508 Resource Limit Reached message means your account hit a plan allowance at that moment. The server is not down.

THE ALLOWANCES

CPU, physical memory, entry processes (concurrent requests) and disk I/O.

CHECKING

cPanel > Resource Usage, then Details, shows graphs over time and names which limit was reached and when. Match the spikes to your own activity: a nightly spike is usually a backup or a cron job.

COMMON CAUSES

No page caching, so every visitor runs the full application Bot or attack traffic Heavy plugins, particularly statistics, link-checkers and live chat Backups or imports running during busy hours WordPress cron misconfiguration Genuine growth

WHAT TO DO

Enable caching first. It solves this outright for most sites. Move backups and imports to quiet hours. Remove or replace heavy plugins. Block abusive bots, ideally with Cloudflare. Confirm your cron job is set up correctly rather than running on every page load.

If usage stays high after all of that, the site has outgrown the plan. Open a ticket and we will look at the graphs with you and recommend honestly, including telling you when an upgrade is not the answer.
