Your account sits on a server alongside other customers, each with allocated limits. We handle all server maintenance, security patching and monitoring. It is the right choice for most websites, and the best value.
Best for: business sites, blogs, portfolios, small and medium shops.
RESELLER HOSTING
You get a WHM account and can create and manage cPanel accounts for your own clients, with your own branding and your own packages. We still handle the underlying server.
Best for: web designers and agencies hosting client sites, and anyone wanting to sell hosting under their own name.
VPS
A virtual machine with dedicated CPU, memory and disk, and root access. You choose the software. Management can be yours or ours depending on the option chosen.
Best for: applications needing specific server software, high-traffic sites, or anyone who has genuinely outgrown shared limits.
CHOOSING BETWEEN THEM
Start with shared unless you have a specific reason not to. Move up when you hit real limits, not in anticipation of them. A site that is slow because of an unoptimised plugin will be just as slow on a VPS, only more expensively.
