Brochure sites and blogs.
WHAT YOU STILL NEED
A privacy notice, if you have a contact form, analytics or cookies.
That is essentially every site.
Business details, for trust.
WHAT YOU PROBABLY DO NOT NEED
Terms of sale Returns policy Delivery information
WHAT YOU MIGHT NEED
Terms of use, if visitors can comment or submit content A cookie notice, depending on what you use A disclaimer, if you publish advice
THE DISCLAIMER QUESTION
If you publish guidance people might act on, a note that it is general information rather than professional advice is prudent.
Particularly for health, financial, legal or technical content.
THE PRIVACY NOTICE
Even a simple site collects data: form submissions, analytics, server logs.
Describe what you collect and why.
THE MINIMUM
A privacy notice and visible business details.
Two things, and most brochure sites have neither.
WHY BOTHER
Trust, primarily. A site with no identifiable owner and no privacy notice looks improvised.
