Where exclusion costs money directly.
WHERE IT MATTERS MOST
The checkout. A customer who cannot complete it is a lost sale, not merely an inconvenience.
PRODUCT PAGES
Alt text describing the product, not the filename Price and availability as text, not images Variation selectors usable by keyboard Add to cart as a real button
THE CART
Quantity controls reachable by keyboard Removing an item announced, not just visually changed Totals as text
CHECKOUT
Visible labels on every field Errors identified clearly, with input preserved Progress through steps announced Payment options selectable by keyboard
THE ERROR PROBLEM
A checkout that clears the form on error is the single most damaging failure. Retyping full delivery details is enough to abandon the purchase.
PRODUCT IMAGES
Zoom and gallery controls frequently built as custom components with no keyboard support.
Test them.
WHAT TO TEST
Complete a purchase using only the keyboard. Then with a screen reader.
If you cannot, some customers cannot.
