A blacklist listing means receiving servers reject or filter your mail. Listings follow spam incidents, compromises, or sending to bad addresses.

CHECKING

Use an online blacklist lookup service against your domain and your sending IP. It will show which lists you are on.

BEFORE REQUESTING DELISTING

Fix the cause first. Delisting while spam is still going out is refused, and repeated requests can lengthen the process.

  1. Change all mailbox passwords.
  2. Find and remove any script sending mail from the account.
  3. Check for unauthorised forwarding rules.
  4. Confirm SPF, DKIM and DMARC are correct.
  5. Confirm sending has stopped, using cPanel > Track Delivery.

REQUESTING REMOVAL

Each blacklist has its own process, linked from the lookup results. Some delist automatically after a clean period. Others need a form explaining what happened and what you fixed. Be honest and specific.

IF THE SERVER'S SHARED IP IS LISTED

Open a ticket. We handle server IP delisting. You handle anything specific to your own domain.

REBUILDING REPUTATION

Send normally and modestly for a few weeks. Avoid bulk campaigns immediately after an incident, and move genuine bulk sending to a dedicated provider.
