Where records live when your nameservers are ours.

FINDING IT

cPanel > Domains > Zone Editor.

Choose Manage to see the full zone, or the quick-add buttons for common record types.

WHAT YOU SEE

Every record for the domain: type, name, TTL and value.

ADDING A RECORD

Add Record, choose the type, enter the name and value, set the TTL.

For a name within your domain, entering just the label is usually sufficient; cPanel appends the domain.

EDITING

Click edit beside the record, change the value, save.

Changes take effect on our nameservers immediately. Resolvers holding the old value continue serving it until their TTL expires.

DELETING

Be careful. Deleting an MX record stops mail. Deleting the main A record stops the website.

Note what a record was before removing it.

WHAT NOT TO EDIT

The SOA record NS records, unless delegating deliberately

IF YOUR NAMESERVERS ARE NOT OURS

The Zone Editor still shows a zone, and nothing consults it.

Check your nameservers before spending time here.
