cPanel > Zone Editor supports SRV records with separate fields for each part.
The service asking for it will provide exact values. Enter them as given.
THE COMMON ERROR
Entering the values in the wrong fields, or including the underscore prefix in the wrong place.
Service names conventionally begin with an underscore.
WHEN YOU NEED ONE
Only when a service specifically asks. You will not create one otherwise.
CHECKING
A lookup for the full record name, including the underscore prefixes, shows what is published.
IF THE SERVICE SAYS IT IS NOT WORKING
Compare every field against what they specified. These records are unforgiving of small errors.
