Suspension is not arbitrary. These are the reasons, roughly in order of how often they occur.

NON-PAYMENT

An unpaid invoice past its grace period. This is by far the most common reason and the easiest to resolve.

SPAM SENDING

Usually a compromised mailbox or a vulnerable contact form being used to send bulk mail. Suspension protects the server's reputation for every other customer.

MALWARE OR PHISHING CONTENT

A phishing page or malware found on the account. This is often the result of a compromise rather than the owner's intent, but it must be stopped immediately because it harms third parties.

RESOURCE ABUSE

Sustained overuse that degrades service for others on the same server.

ABUSE COMPLAINTS

A verified complaint from a rights holder, a security organisation or a law enforcement body.

WHAT HAPPENS

You receive an email explaining the reason. For content issues, we suspend the smallest scope that stops the harm where possible. Your data is not deleted at the point of suspension.

For serious categories such as phishing or child protection, suspension is immediate and without warning, because the harm is ongoing.
