Changing provider.

BEFORE MOVING

Export your list, including consent records and subscription dates Note your automations, so you can rebuild them Note your segments

WHAT DOES NOT TRANSFER

Engagement history. The new platform does not know who opens your mail. Automation configuration. Templates, usually. Your sending reputation with the new platform's infrastructure.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The first few campaigns from a new platform may perform differently while reputation establishes.

THE AUTHENTICATION STEP

Add the new platform's SPF mechanism and DKIM record.

Do not remove the old platform's records until you have stopped sending through it, or mail in flight fails.

Remember: one SPF record, not two.

RE-CONFIRMATION

Some platforms require imported subscribers to confirm again, particularly if consent records are not provided.

That reduces your list and is the platform protecting its own reputation.

RUNNING BOTH BRIEFLY

Sensible during transition. Make sure subscribers do not receive the same campaign twice.

AFTERWARDS

Confirm the old account is closed and the list exported before it is deleted.
