  • 0

Cloudflare could not connect to us.

WHAT IT MEANS

Our server refused the connection, or is not responding at all.

THE COMMON CAUSES

The server is genuinely unavailable The account is suspended A firewall is blocking Cloudflare's addresses The DNS record points at the wrong address

WHAT TO CHECK

Client Area > Network Issues for a posted incident Client Area > Services, for a suspension Whether the A record points at the correct address

THE FIREWALL CAUSE

If a security tool at our end blocked Cloudflare's addresses, every request is refused.

This happens where a plugin or a rule blocks by address without understanding the proxy.

Open a ticket if you suspect it.

CHECKING WHETHER WE ARE UP

Load cPanel directly using the server hostname, which does not go through Cloudflare.

If cPanel loads, the server is running and something specific is blocking Cloudflare.

WHAT TO SEND US

The error number, the time, and whether cPanel loads directly.

That distinguishes a server outage from a blocking problem immediately.
