Hosting a site at Cloudflare itself.

WHAT IT IS

Hosting for static sites, built from a repository and served from Cloudflare's network.

WHO IT SUITS

Documentation sites Brochure sites built with a static site generator Front ends that call an API elsewhere

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

Run PHP. There is no application server, no database, and nothing like cPanel.

A WordPress site cannot be hosted there.

THE TRADE

Extremely fast and essentially nothing to maintain, in exchange for no dynamic capability.

Forms, comments and search require external services.

WHEN THIS IS THE RIGHT CHOICE

A site that rarely changes, maintained by someone technical, where speed and security matter more than convenience.

WHEN IT IS NOT

Almost any small business site that someone non-technical needs to edit.

WHAT MOST PEOPLE ACTUALLY NEED

Ordinary hosting with caching enabled. That is fast enough, and it can be edited by the owner.

WORTH KNOWING ABOUT

So you recognise it when a developer proposes it, and can ask who will maintain the content.
