THE LIMITATIONS
It supports a limited set of extensions. Nigerian extensions such as .com.ng and .ng are not among them.
For a Nigerian business using a .com.ng, this is not an option.
It also requires the domain to use Cloudflare's nameservers, which is a reasonable condition and still a condition.

THE PRACTICAL POINT
Splitting registration and hosting across providers is entirely normal and adds one more account to keep access to.
Wherever your domains are registered, the essentials apply: registered in the business name, auto-renewal on, contact address on a domain you do not host there.
