Records other services need.

WHAT NEEDS THEM

Search Console domain verification Business profile verification Payment gateways Email sending services Social platforms Anything asking you to add a TXT record

WHERE THEY GO

Cloudflare, once its nameservers are in use. Adding them in cPanel has no effect.

This is a frequent cause of verification failing repeatedly with no apparent reason.

THE COMMON CASUALTY

Verification records that existed before the Cloudflare move and did not import.

The service does not notice immediately; verification simply lapses weeks later.

WHAT TO DO AT SETUP

Compare the imported records against your original zone export and add anything missing.

Verification TXT records are the ones most often absent.

TXT RECORDS ARE NEVER PROXIED

The proxy option does not apply. If you are looking for a cloud icon on a TXT record, there is none.

CHECKING THEM

A DNS lookup for the TXT records on your domain shows what is published.

Compare against what each service expects.

AFTER ADDING ONE

Cloudflare changes take effect within seconds, so verification can usually be attempted immediately.
