Where your records now live.
THE IMPORTANT POINT
Once Cloudflare's nameservers are in use, the DNS records in cPanel are ignored.
Every DNS change must be made in Cloudflare.
This catches people out repeatedly: a record added in cPanel, no effect, and no obvious reason.
THE INTERFACE
Cloudflare dashboard, DNS section. Records listed with type, name, content, proxy state and TTL.
ADDING A RECORD
Choose the type, enter the name and the value, set the proxy state, and save.
Changes take effect within seconds, which is one of the genuine advantages of Cloudflare DNS.
TTL
When proxied, TTL is managed automatically and the setting is unavailable.
For DNS-only records, set a low TTL before a planned change so it propagates quickly.
WHAT TO KEEP CONSISTENT
Your mail records must match what cPanel > Email Deliverability expects.
If you change hosting, every A record must be updated.
EXPORTING
Cloudflare can export the zone. Do this periodically; it is your DNS backup and no hosting backup includes it.
