The switch itself.

BEFORE SWITCHING

Every record reviewed and correct in Cloudflare Proxy states set correctly SSL mode set to Full (strict)

Do this before changing nameservers, not after. Once the switch happens, Cloudflare's records are what the world sees.

CHANGING THEM

At your registrar, not in cPanel. Replace the existing nameservers with the two Cloudflare provided.

For domains registered with us, the Client Area domain management page.

TIMING

Usually effective within an hour, occasionally up to forty-eight.

During the transition, some visitors reach the old records and some the new. That is normal.

AFTER SWITCHING

Test the website Test sending and receiving mail Test cPanel access Run AutoSSL and confirm certificates are valid Check that any external service verifying your domain still works

WHAT PEOPLE FORGET

Records that existed in cPanel and did not import. Verification records for third-party services are the usual casualty.

KEEPING CPANEL RECORDS

They remain and are no longer consulted. Changes there have no effect once Cloudflare's nameservers are in use.
