When you ask us to reset a password, change the registered email, unlock a domain or transfer ownership, we will ask you to verify your identity first. This is not obstruction.
WHY IT EXISTS
The most common way accounts are stolen is not technical. Someone emails a provider claiming to be the customer and asks for a password reset. Providers that comply without checking lose their customers' domains and websites.
Our verification protects you from exactly that.
WHAT WE MAY ASK FOR
Confirmation from the registered email address on the account Answers to details only the account holder would know, such as recent invoice numbers or the original registration date Government-issued identification for high-risk changes such as a change of registrant or account ownership A reply from within the Client Area rather than by email alone
HOW TO MAKE IT FASTER
Keep your Client Area contact details current, particularly the email address and phone number. Open tickets from inside the Client Area rather than emailing from an unregistered address. Enable 2FA, which lets us verify you more easily.
If a request is genuinely urgent, say so in the ticket and we will prioritise it, but we will not skip verification.
