Finding what you need without SQL.

BROWSING

Select a table and click Browse. Rows appear in pages.

Sort by clicking a column header. Useful for finding the newest or largest rows.

SEARCHING WITHOUT SQL

The Search tab lets you specify a column and a value, and builds the query for you.

This is the safe way to find rows if you are not confident writing SQL.

Choose the comparison: equals, contains, begins with.

FINDING A SPECIFIC RECORD

If you know the id, search for it directly. Most tables have one.

SEARCHING ACROSS THE WHOLE DATABASE

Select the database rather than a table, then use Search. It looks across every table.

Slow on a large database and useful when you do not know where something lives.

FILTERING WHILE BROWSING

The filter row at the top of the results narrows what is displayed.

WHAT THIS IS GOOD FOR

Confirming data exists before a change Finding the row you intend to edit Checking that an update did what you expected

Do all three around any modification.
