A notice about consumption.

WHAT IT MEANS

Your account is consistently consuming more than its allowance, affecting the server and other accounts.

WHERE TO LOOK

cPanel > Resource Usage > Details. Graphs over time showing CPU, memory, entry processes and I/O.

Identify when the spikes occur. The timing usually identifies the cause.

THE COMMON CAUSES

No page caching, so every visit runs the full application Bot or attack traffic Heavy plugins, particularly statistics and link checkers Backups or imports running at busy times Misconfigured cron, running far more often than needed A site that has genuinely outgrown its plan

THE ORDER OF FIXES

Enable caching. This alone resolves most cases. Move backups and scheduled work to quiet hours. Remove or replace heavy plugins. Block abusive bots, ideally at Cloudflare before requests reach us. Confirm cron is configured correctly.

IF IT PERSISTS

The site needs more resources. Open a ticket with your graphs and we will advise honestly whether an upgrade is warranted.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

Suggest an upgrade for something caching would fix.
