THE COMMON CAUSES
The target directory already contains files Disk or inode limit reached A database could not be created, frequently because the plan limit is reached A PHP extension required by the application is missing A timeout during extraction
CHECKING FIRST
The cPanel statistics panel: disk, inodes, and database count against plan limits.
A plan at its database limit cannot create another, and the installer fails without explaining that clearly.
THE DIRECTORY
Softaculous refuses to install into a directory containing files, unless you allow overwrite.
Check what is actually in the target directory.
AFTER A FAILED ATTEMPT
Partial files and a partial database may remain. Remove both before retrying.
Softaculous > Installations may list it; remove it there, which cleans both.
IF IT KEEPS FAILING
Install manually. Download from the official source, upload, create the database yourself, and run the installer.
That also tells you exactly where the failure occurs.
