FIRST, CHECK THE APPLICATION
Many applications have a trash or recycle bin holding deleted items for a period. Check there before anything else.
WordPress keeps deleted posts and pages in Trash for thirty days by default.
CHECK REVISIONS
Content systems frequently store previous versions of a page. If content was changed rather than deleted, the earlier version may be one click away.
RECOVERING FROM BACKUP WITHOUT A FULL RESTORE
Restore the backup to a staging subdomain, find the content, and copy it into the live site.
Never restore a whole backup over a live site to recover one page.
FOR DATABASE CONTENT
Import the backup into a separate database, locate the record, and copy the content across.
IF IT WAS DELETED DELIBERATELY BY SOMEONE
Check who has access, and review recent activity if the application logs it.
Deliberate deletion by someone with legitimate access is a different problem from an accident.
