  • backupsdisasterrecovery, backups, backup, cpanel, email, restore, woocommerce, dns, database, migration
  • 0

The most complete backup available to you.

HOW

  1. cPanel > Backup.
  2. Under Full Backup, click Download a Full Account Backup.
  3. Choose Home Directory as the destination.
  4. Enter an email address for notification if you want one.
  5. Generate Backup.
  6. Wait. Large accounts take time.
  7. Return to the same page and download the archive when ready.
  8. Delete the archive from the server afterwards, or it counts against your disk quota.

WHAT IT CONTAINS

Files, databases, email accounts and their contents, forwarders, filters, cron jobs, DNS zone records and account settings.

This is the most complete single backup you can take.

THE RESTRICTION

You cannot restore a full account backup yourself through cPanel. Upload it to your home directory and open a ticket, and we will restore it.

That is a cPanel limitation rather than a policy.

WHEN TO TAKE ONE

Before migrating, before cancelling, and periodically as a complete point-in-time copy.

DOWNLOAD IT

An archive left on the server provides no protection.
