Understanding the safety net.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Scheduled backups of hosting accounts, with retention according to your plan. Where JetBackup is available in cPanel, you can browse restore points and restore files or databases yourself.

WHAT THEY ARE FOR

Recovering from infrastructure events: hardware failure, a server-level problem, or a situation affecting the account.

WHAT THEY ARE NOT

An archive. Retention is finite, and a problem discovered months later may predate every copy held. A substitute for your own backups. A guarantee. Very large accounts may be excluded from some schedules for practical reasons.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Check what your plan actually includes rather than assuming. If your account is unusually large, ask us to confirm its status.

WHY YOU STILL NEED YOUR OWN

You control the timing, so you can take one immediately before a risky change You control retention, keeping a monthly copy for a year It is stored off our infrastructure entirely It is yours if you ever leave

THE PRACTICAL POSITION

Ours is a net. Yours is the plan.
