What to check before installing anything.

PHP VERSION

Each application states a minimum and a maximum tested version. Both matter.

Check with cPanel > MultiPHP Manager, and remember it is set per domain.

COMMON EXTENSIONS

curl, for external requests gd or imagick, for image processing mbstring, for multibyte text zip, for archives and updates intl, for internationalisation xml and simplexml json mysqli and pdo_mysql, for database access openssl bcmath, for precise arithmetic exif, for image metadata fileinfo, for upload validation

Enable under cPanel > Select PHP Version > Extensions.

PHP SETTINGS

memory_limit, frequently needing to be raised max_execution_time upload_max_filesize and post_max_size max_input_vars, which causes silent save failures when too low

Set under cPanel > MultiPHP INI Editor.

DATABASE

Most applications need MySQL or MariaDB. Check the minimum version.

DISK AND INODES

Check both. Applications with many small files hit inode limits before disk limits.
