Outdated or incorrect details in results.

THE COMMON CASES

An old title or description still showing An outdated price or availability An old phone number or address in the business panel A page that no longer exists still appearing The wrong page ranking for your brand name

WHY IT HAPPENS

Search results reflect the last crawl. Changes take time to appear, typically days to weeks.

FIXING IT

  • For page content: update the page, then request indexing for that URL in Search Console. This accelerates recrawling.
  • For business details: update your business profile, which is where that panel draws from.
  • For a removed page: ensure it returns a 404 or redirects, then request removal if it is urgent.
  • For structured data showing wrong prices: fix the markup, which is usually the source.

URGENT REMOVALS

Search Console provides a temporary removal tool for content that must disappear quickly. It is temporary; fix the underlying cause as well.

IF IT PERSISTS

Confirm the page actually changed, that caching is not serving an old version, and that the canonical tag points where you expect.
