Pages are for permanent content such as About or Contact. Posts are dated entries that appear in your blog feed and can be filed under categories and tags.
Creating a page
- Go to Pages → Add New.
- Type the title, then click below it to add content blocks.
- Use the + button to insert paragraphs, images, headings, buttons, columns and more.
- Click Publish, or use Save draft if you are not ready.
Creating a post
Same process under Posts → Add New, with three extras in the right-hand sidebar:
- Categories — broad topics; assign one per post.
- Tags — specific keywords; a handful per post is plenty.
- Featured image — the thumbnail shown in listings and social shares.
Useful options
Under Publish you can schedule for a future date, or set visibility to Private or password-protected. Scheduled publishing depends on cron, so make sure you have a real cron job configured.
Click the URL field in the sidebar to set a clean, short slug — good for readers and for search engines.
