What makes a page worth ranking.
ANSWER THE QUESTION
Someone searched for something. The page should answer it, clearly, near the top. Not after three paragraphs of preamble.
BE GENUINELY USEFUL
Content written to fill a page ranks poorly. Content written because you know something useful ranks well, because people link to it and stay on it.
STRUCTURE
A clear title stating what the page covers Headings breaking it into sections Short paragraphs Lists where the content is genuinely a list
People scan before reading. Structure lets them find the part they need.
LENGTH
As long as the topic requires. Long content ranks well because thorough content is useful, not because length itself is a signal.
Padding a short answer to reach a word count makes it worse.
WRITE FOR PEOPLE
Use the words your audience uses. Include the query naturally, because you are writing about that topic, not because you are inserting keywords.
UPDATE IT
Content that stays accurate keeps ranking. Content that goes stale slides.
