BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING
Export the table, or the database. There is no undo.
RUNNING QUERIES
The SQL tab accepts any query. Run a SELECT with your WHERE clause first and check the row count before running the DELETE or UPDATE.
EXPORT OPTIONS
The quick export is usually sufficient. Custom export lets you exclude specific tables, which is useful for skipping large log tables.
For a database you intend to import elsewhere, ensure the export includes structure as well as data.
TIMEOUTS
Large operations fail partway. If an export or import times out, use the command line instead, or ask us.
SEARCHING
The search tab finds values across a table without writing a query, which is useful when hunting down where a setting is stored.
