Where projects go wrong before any code is written.

WHAT IS USUALLY UNDERESTIMATED

Content: gathering it, formatting it, and waiting for it

Revisions, particularly with several decision-makers Testing across browsers and devices Deployment and launch Third-party integrations, which always take longer than expected Client responsiveness

WHAT TO ESTABLISH BEFORE QUOTING

What exactly is being built, in specific terms Who provides content, and by when How many revision rounds are included What happens when scope changes Who signs off Whether hosting and maintenance are included

PRACTICAL ADVICE

Quote for defined work, not for an outcome you cannot bound State what is not included as explicitly as what is Build in time for the client to review, which is outside your control Charge for scope changes, or every project expands indefinitely

THE COMMON FAILURE

Agreeing a fixed price for work that was never defined precisely. The dispute at the end is inevitable and the relationship does not survive it.
